Anglo Welsh - Boat types...
Choose your boat

At Anglo Welsh we can offer you the widest selection of boats from 2 to 12 berths and with a choice of Traditional, Cruiser and Semi-Traditional stern arrangements.

If you haven’t been on a narrow boat before, you may be surprised that hot and cold running water, flushing toilets, central heating, showers or even small baths, sprung mattresses and fridges are available on every boat. In addition, many boats feature freezers, microwaves, colour TV and CD players. There’s even a 12V plug point so if you can charge your mobile and camcorder from your car, you can certainly do it on the boat.

When +2 is shown with the layout this indicates an additional 2 berths are made up by converting the dining area to a double, or in some cases, 2 single berths. Each layout has a weekly price band number and a short break price band letter which refer to the
holiday prices.

Anglo Welsh - 2 Berth VB Grading
Guide
Every boat in our fleet has been independently assessed by a 'Visit Britain' Inspector. This nationally accredited scheme awards a 'star' from 1 to 5, based on a level of overall quality.

All of our boats rate from 2 to 5, which reflects our very diverse range of boats and also accommodates some of the older craft in our fleet.
Sterns
Cruiser
A Cruiser Stern is usually larger and has more open space. Access on and off the boat is easier and there is space for five crew members as well as the steerer.

Semi-Traditional
A Semi-Traditional Stern has a larger area for the rear deck protected by solid sides. It offers less weather protection for the steerer but several people can usually sit on the lockers in the deck space.

The symbol guide indicates the location of berths, bathrooms and facilities as well as storage found on the boats. The layouts are grouped in berth order - that's to say they start with the 2- berth boats and go through the ranks to the 12-berth boats.
