Information Anglo Welsh gathers and tracks

Usage tracking

Anglo Welsh tracks user traffic patterns throughout our site. However, we do
not correlate this information with data about individual users. We use
tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and
don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual
users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us
continue to build a better service for you.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of text that asks permission to be placed on your
computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, your browser adds that text in a
small file. A cookie helps analyse web traffic or logs when you visit a
particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an
individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes
and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your
preferences.

The cookie itself does not contain personal information, it can’t read data
from your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.   You can
refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you’ve set your browser
to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message
with each cookie.

IP Tracking

When you visit our website, we store web server logs which show your IP
address, this gives us information such as which pages you looked at,
whether the page request was successful or not and which browser you use
to view the page. The use of this data is purely for statistical purposes.
