Come and see us at the Stratford Festival 30 JUNE to 1 JULY
Stratford-upon-Avon’s 10th annual river festival will take place on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July, and this year the Anglo Welsh team will be showcasing our brand new Constellation Class boat ‘Aries’ at this award-winning free family event.
Last year over 70,000 people enjoyed summer time fun at the Stratford River Festival, where the riverside comes alive in celebration of Stratford’s beautiful River Avon and the Bard’s wonderful home town.
As well as taking a tour of ‘Aries’, visitors to this year’s event can look round other boats on display and enjoy world class live music, an artisan craft fair, family activities area, delicious food, local ales and ciders, Pimms and Prosecco bars and a spectacular firework display on the Saturday evening.
Visitors to the Festival can also wander around Stratford’s historic town centre to check out its independent shops and high street names, restaurants, cafes and bars, fascinating museums and the Pirates Festival in Bell Court. We recommend you pick up a free copy of the River Festival programme containing Stratforward’s discount card providing discounts in many Stratford town centre shops and restaurants.
Our 65ft four-berth luxury narrowboat ‘Aries’ - which is available to hire from our canal boat rental centre on the Stratford Canal in Wootton Wawen - has a semi traditional stern, two showers, two toilets, full radiator central heating, a traditional fuel stove, well-equipped galley and flexible accommodation in two cabins (ranging from two doubles to four singles) and WiFi.
On a short break (three or four nights) from Wootton Wawen, narrowboat holiday-makers can travel to Shakespeare’s Stratford. On a week’s canal boat holiday, boaters can reach historic Warwick or Birmingham City Centre. Prices for ‘Aries‘ start at £730 for short break (three or four nights), £1,045 for a week.
Come along and join in the fun - we look forward to welcoming you on board to find out more about luxury canal boat hire with Anglo Welsh!
