Our daily boat trips return from 1 April

At 300 metres long and 38 metres high, the historic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain.

Our 45-minute-long return boat trips offer the chance to cruise across this incredible 120-year old structure. You’ll experience amazing views across the Dee Valley, and hear about this history of the aqueduct as you glide across the Stream in the Sky.

From 1 April to 31 October 2026 we’re running five boat trips a day.

Trips will depart at 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Meet the Easter Bunny aboard Little Star!

Over the Easter weekend (3-6 April), the Easter Bunny will be on board our Pontcysyllte Aqueduct trip boat, giving out chocolate treats to children.

Trips will depart at 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Little Star (Seren Fach) departs from Trevor Basin, Off Station Road, Trevor, Wrexham, LL20 7TT.

Adult tickets are £10 each, children under 16 are £6 each, family tickets are £25 each (2 adults, 2 children).

You can book tickets online up to 24 hours in advance. Or buy them on the day, subject to availability. We accept card or cash payments. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the boat trip departs.

What’s on board?

Our knowledgeable team provides commentary on board so you can learn about the history of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal as you cruise gently along.

We sell hot and cold drinks, ice creams and other snacks.

There’s a toilet on board.

We are sorry wheelchair access is not possible due to the historic design of the boat. The trip boat permits service dogs only.
