Great Haywood is at the junction of the Staffordshire & Worcestershire and Trent & Mersey canals

There’s a great choice of routes for beginners and experienced boaters.

Head north on the Trent & Mersey Canal and you can join the Caldon Canal. You can cruise into the Peak District to Froghall.

Or cruise the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal to the beautiful Tixall Wide lake. Further along you’ll reach Victorian Wightwick Manor with its William Morris interiors and colourful garden.

If you’re looking for a longer holiday, you can complete the Four Counties Ring or Black Country Ring from Great Haywood.
