The Pennine Circuit
This epic circuit, also known as the Roses Ring, criss-crosses the Pennines with dramatic scenery to enjoy

Number of locks: Great Haywood 192 locks, Silsden 214 locks
The Pennine Ring landscapes swing from Peaks to Dales and through river valleys. The journey includes a long passage over the hills on the magnificent Leeds & Liverpool Canal. It also takes in sections of the Aire & Calder Navigation, Huddersfield Broad Canal and Calder & Hebble Navigation. This full Pennine Ring takes you into Manchester via the Rochdale Canal. To do the shorter South Pennine Ring, you go to Manchester via the steep Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
Please note: this is not a trip for novices and is very hard work for a crew of two!
